Tre Cabrera, MRP, MSW

Tre Cabrera is the founder and chief executive officer of Cabrera Advisory Group, LLC, a Black woman-owned management consulting firm based in Annapolis, Maryland. A transformational leadership expert, Tre inspires people to dream big and helps leaders build better workplaces through values-driven, people-first approaches.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning urban and regional planning, organizational management, community practice, social action, public education, educational equity, social justice, public policy, research, and management consulting, Tre brings a breadth of knowledge and expertise to every engagement.

She earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore, with concentrations in organizational management, community practice, and social action; a Master of Regional Planning in economic development and community planning from the University at Albany, NY; and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with Pi Sigma Alpha honors, from the College at Geneseo, New York’s Public Honors College. Tre is a professional economic development planner and social impact leader whose graduate training in urban planning and macro social work provides the foundation for her leadership and consulting philosophy.

Cabrera Advisory Group partners with clients to solve complex problems, maximize growth, create value, and improve long-term organizational and operational success. Tre’s approach emphasizes that strategic work and equity work are inseparable, and she leverages partnerships with bold leaders to drive meaningful, lasting impact.

A tenacious and inspirational speaker, Tre has delivered talks, workshops, and learning communities for national and regional social good organizations, including Bluebird Education Network, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Family League of Baltimore, National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity, National Association of Social Workers, National Conference on Student Life, United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

In 2024 and 2025, she spoke at events such as the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity National Summit for Educational Equity, the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, the Skyrocket Education Services Equity Summit, and GBMC HealthCare’s Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Conference, where she emphasized values-based leadership, authentic engagement, and creating workplaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. Her presentations combine actionable strategies with practical tools, helping organizations translate insights into real impact.

Tre is deeply invested in the long-term vitality of education systems and communities. She has led strategic planning initiatives and facilitated conversations that bridge and strengthen social capital among educators, school leaders, and stakeholders. Notably, she directed the implementation strategy for a community schools project serving over 132,000 students, leading a team of nine professionals across 40 high-need schools, and designing multi-day learning communities for principals and school leadership teams. This work positively impacted over 7,000 students and families over five years.
